How to test a Bangalore commute before buying
A short map distance is a poor substitute for a repeatable door-to-door journey.
Test the right hours
Travel from the exact project gate to your destination on a day and at a time resembling your working week. Repeat in the reverse direction. School drop-off, office arrival and evening return can produce different results. A single Sunday drive measures a different problem.
Record a range
Write down the best, typical and difficult journey you observed, along with the date, weather and route. Add the time needed for parking, lifts, security and the last walk. Compare this with how often you make the trip: an extra twenty minutes daily matters differently from an occasional weekend drive.
Check alternatives
Note whether a second road, bus, rail connection or practical walking route exists today. Inspect the last-mile experience rather than assuming that a nearby station solves it. If a future connection is important, save the authority’s current update and keep it separate from the present-day calculation.
